Advanced combat practice
Why does combat practice limit you to certain bots?
I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to kill any bot I want since the bonus is calculated based on the difficulty level.
This becomes increasingly annoying at high levels.
Currently I'm at level 8, and the "hardest" assault bot that will count towards the 6 bots I have to kill (that's right 6!) are Prosus, which will give me a bonus of 500 combat for every 6 kills. This means that for me to get the remaining 50000 combat points for level 9 I will have to kill 600 Prosus Assault bots.
Now if we assume that the "bonus bot" is a Dentek Assault (which seems to be the standard at this level) I can reduce that number to 400.
That's...
500 for the 6 Prosus
500 for the 1 Dentek
and 1 extra kill per round because the only Denteks I could find were part of a group of 4 bots, 2 of them Dentek, and for those who don't know, you have to kill the whole group before they respawn.
This raises the bot count to 8 per round, and significantly slows down the process, because you either have to jump to a different sector to take out the Dentek, or you have to deal with some nasty guardians while you're killing the Prosus.
Right now I have 1800 kills, this means by the time I reach level 9 18-25% of my total kills will have occurred after level 8 was reached. That seems really steep to me.
So to summarize... I propose there be no limit on which bots count towards the bonus, that way I could find some bots with higher point values to decrease the number of necessary kills.

6 bots... dude, i WISH i had to kill 6 bots per "list"
and the XP curve is meant to be steep as you get higher in levels.
its calculated as follows after 3rd level, (which is still 9500xp right?)
Newlevel = (Level) X 1.5 + 2000
at any given point the XP required to reach the next level is ~ 40% (average of the first 10 levels) higher than the total XP needed to gain the level before.
Level 16 takes a cool 2.65 million XP, enough to give away the XP needed to level 10 level 0 players to level 10, and still have enough left over to remain at level 11.

i personaly think taht there should be other sources of combat xp. as it is your choices are the comabt missions (begining and advanced) and PVP against somone that is higher level than you.
i would recomend there be a combat guild mission where you have some choice in what sort of bot list you take, and posably even some sort of pvp list.

making cooler / more rewarding missions is in the works as far as I know. Also, killing people gets you combat experience, if they are a fairy higher level than you, it gives you quite a bit.
Yes Spell I know it's supposed to be high, and I'm not complaining about the points needed, just that I am stuck with lower point bots.
I think the furies give 800 points, and fighting them would be more challenging and thus more fun.
In every other RPG you meet new enemies that give you more experience as you level, but now I'm getting less experience per bot and the game wont let me fight a more challenging opponent.
The whole point of Vendetta is that it's skill based. So if I have the skill to take on tougher bots, I should be rewarded for that, not punished.
I'm also aware of the experience gained through PvP but it's really not that much higher, I'm lucky to get 150 points for a kill, and that takes a hell of a lot longer than a round of bots.
