Bugs:
1) When leaving a turret, then leaving the Nemesis, your inventory box is gone.
2) UIT in a turret can shoot Serco outside it, but can't be harmed.
3) Duellers can dock with the Nemesis to an extent.
4) With Station In Menu on, the warp animation looks... bad.
5) It's really hard to dock. (though I don't consider this a bug :))
6) Dock with the Nemesis and then log off. You'll appear where the docking bay was when you docked. Even if this point is inside the Nemesis at the time. (Easiest to see when it's not moving.)
Suggestion:
Make the Station In Menu view fixed, i.e. from behind, F9-style.

For #2, which do you think would be a better solution, that UIT in the turret can't damage Serco (in good standing) outside it, or that Serco outside it could damage the UIT controlled turret? I think the first would be better.
Yeah, the first solution works best... since the Nemesis is Serco after all, and it's the Nemesis's turret that's firing.

Hard to dock?
Good god people, it was easy to dock back when there were furies swarming all around it, with the turrets providing cover fire all the time.
Granted, it didn't move, but the dock was considerably smaller.

for suggestion 2: take away friendly fire protection in the game all together. Let the captain of the ship decide if he wants to kick a bad gunner out. There should be a way for him to tell who is shooting who tho, in this case.
As we went into a wormhole, the Nemesis shuddered and rolled quite a bit. Then the loading screen came up and all the Nemesis passengers were stuck in Loading Screen Limbo. Presumably the ship hit something and exploded. It would be nice if, uh, that didn't happen....or something.
1) fixed
2) Maybe not let UIT dock with cap ship?
3) What's the 'extent'?
4) Yeah, it does look bad.
5) We're probably going to slow down the cap ship to about 30m/s instead of 50. This should make it easier to dock with the moving cap ship.
6) It's supposed to choose a random position around the cap ship but that doesn't seem to work very well.

I think I caused it to fail like that... my ping is very inconsistent at the moment, and it happened the ONLY time I was docked during a warp.
ray.3) Not entirely sure. Martin.mac.au was in a turret when we duelled, but we didn't explore much else.

A first note on the UIT Heavy Cruiser now in B8:
I'm Itani, +200 with UIT, and I can't dock. Do I have to be +201?

Ok, I have 2 bugs here that I've noticed.
1) When grouped and your buddies are in the cap ship while you are not, the heatlh bar does not appear.
2) When the cap ship is within range of a WH, you cannot dock, even when it says "press activate to dock" it still takes you through the WH.

1) not a bug.
2) The wormhole has priority over the docking bay when you activate, usually.

number 2 should be the other way around. anyway, i was able to dock with the cappy while in flight. it's possible, but pretty hard. It's not that it's moving too fast, it's just that you can't see your surroundings. I actually was successful in backing up into the dock, despite not being able to see behind me, but a rear view would definitely help with it.
I find that it /is/ moving too fast. At >60m/s, it's almost impossible to dock in anything heavier than a Vulture. I think the cap ship should be closer to 30-40m/s, not 65m/s...

The thing is, it isn't 50 now. It's at least 65.
When you are in a turret, and a fellow turret explodes close enough for the splash to do damage, every turret on the cap ship turns hostile on your radar. While not critical, it really makes the radar busy.
IDV Sola is stuck in warp...
My mistake. cap ship flys at about 60m/s. When it turbos, it can go faster.
I just fixed Suicidal Lemming's problem.
I also made docking bays have priority over wormhole areas.

cool, thanks ray.
I do have a suggestion however... On the next big capital ship model you guys release, it really would make more sense for the docking bay to be oriented so that the docking approach is from the rear of the ship.
After all, the ships are meant to be used in combat, and docking with that bay while the ship moves forward is downright hard to do. It would definitely be easier if your docking path and the path of the ships flight were complimentary.
Why would any intelligent military designer make it more likely that pilots would crash when trying to return to thier ship?
<insert half a dozen: "military intelligence" is an oxymoron jokes here>
Having a seperate launch bay farther forward and pointed in the direction the ship travels would also be nice.
I dont know how feasable it would be to redo the current model, but theres a perfect indent just forward of the current docking bay that could probably be made into a second bay without too much effort. :) it could then be used for docking and the current bay remade into a launch only bay.

the "idea" with the docking bay up front is for the cap ship to "swallow" your ship while passing over it. I've managed to have that happen -- once. in around ten tries. :-)
I agree though, making the docking bay something that has a relative speed which isn't a minimum of 60m/s like now (or even 30m/s, there are issues with cap ship ramming) would be nice. being "swallowed" while going in the same direction as the ship (ie, not seeing the port, since you're going forward) is, uhm, hard.
