That looks exactly like an IBG Centurion, except with 10e less drain. I think it has less armor too (IBG is 7200), but you didn't post the number so I can't positively confirm.

I found it very difficult to bot in an IBG. It was easier with a cent mk2. Why? it had 60 cruise instead of 55. Now, imagine 70 cruise....

I fly the IBG a lot. In fact I fly the IBG almost exclusively. If I want to, and I have the patience (which I don't), it is almost impossible to hit me with energy weapons. (For stats, I flew incognito in a IBG with a single neut-2, 3600kg, and I manage to kill 36 peeps in it in about a week).

I used to think the 70s drain is bad, but I have learned to manage the battery, so I can actually do CTC in it. Use the stupendous acceleration at 3600kg with 230N thrust to catch loaded Cent3 (yes you can do it). Use the stupendous acceleration and clever battery management to catch a escorted convoy (I've done that several times, once with the voy 4000m ahead of me at start).

Why do I tell all these (self-praise) stories?

Because I think the IBG is broken (as in too good). And I think the devs should fixed it.

And the Orion Rev C is the Uber-IBG. It is broken broken broken! It is so broken it is insane.

(PLease don't bring in the itani-serco bullcrap here. It is getting old. I am not itani : I am a paying customer of Guild Software.)

The orion needs an increase of +5 to its drain, 200 added to its mass, and its cargo reduced to 0.

The IBG just needs a decrease of 5 to its drain, and its cargo changed to 1.

Incidentally I posted those stats and a comment about how broken it was some weeks ago, but i cant find it in the suggestions forum anymore. (or was it in the general forum, the search feature needs some work lol)

If they reduce the drain of the IBG to 65s, then they should increase the mass to 3200kg too. It will make it more useful as a multipurpose ship, but less deadly as a dogfighter.

For the Orion Rev C, I agree with you totally. No cargo (I don't mind it being the uber-interceptor), +200kg to the mass, and 65 drain.

(Also, as an aside, the 3000kg Valk does not fly like the 3000kg IBG. In fact it is no where near how good the IBG is in a dogfight. Just sayin' in case people compare stats and not how the ship handles ;P)

Spell, that sounds like a good solution.

I didn't mention the smaller hull, because 200 hull is nothing to speak of, and certainly not on par with 10 less drain and 10 higher maneuver speed.

(Also, Ditto to softy on the IBG vs Valk, IBG is smaller and owing to the distribution of its mass can pull tighter rolls)

right... but why to gain faction standing if there are only crappy ships to earn? Please stop that nerfing all factions special ships to worthless crap. just fix it slightly! Remember the tunguska maud... You do not have to kill a ship to fix it...

I'm not saying I want to see it nerfed, I've been upping orion standing, I'd love to see it as a good ship. But there should always be counterbalances, and none have been created for the very fast ships right now.

serco has only the Serco vulture Guardian as a special light ship. the Orion is our alternate light ship.

most of people think the IBG > SVG
according to me they are almost same. (equal all depend your flight style)

1)Corvus vulture should has 70 /drain or 75 max.

2) IBG should keep his 70 while Orion Cent should has 65 /drain.

or decrease the IBG to 65 /drain.

3) SVG should has 60 /drain or 65 /drain (it must be > than the vult mk4)

4) Promethus MkIII and Shycommander.
What the heck? the ship is already worst in fight. it could be decent only if (you known to use) use chaos swarms missiles.
it should has 55 /drain (max) and 2 Large port + 1 small (like the centaur)

5) Hornet (all hornet + Orion Hornet)
his 17 m lenght + lit too heavy (mass) make it useless. 4 small could be good but it's useless (all depends on Battery if you use a canons.
If you use rockets and missiles = imagine the mass you will have)

decrease all hornet mass - 500.

6) valkyrie rune should has 55 /drain

7) all other valkyries should have 65 /drain

MOSTLY PROBLEMS COME FROM THE DRAIN BALANCE ATM.

For the IBG, why not increase the armour has 9000, decrease the masse to 1800
and to add a small port
quite simply
and to increase the damage flares to 2000 and decrease the mass to 600kg
and the life would be marvelous.

And IRS, maybe you should try out the Ineubis Mining Bus. But you need 1500 faction, level 12 mining, and you have to bring them one crate of every mineral in the game.

i was talking with a few people on making weight harm these super vultures more than they do now. currently we all know that armour = agility. this fact has been proven time and time again.

i purpose that anything over 600kg (this includes 2x weapons. 2x N3 would be 800kg, 2x orion phaze 450. ect ect) should seriously slow these projectiles (ibg/rev c) down. because right now, the vulture class is simply useless. what is the point of using a vulture (insert varient here) when there's another ship that's 10 times faster with it's same loadout, and also smaller in size?

i'd classify the ibg/rev C as true light fighters while the vultures are medium fighters. i'd say the vultures should be more forgiving in weight rather than a flying zippo lighter (ibg/rev c).

at the current rate these ships are at, it's silly.

I really do think high level vultures (SVG, Corvus Vulturious) should have a middle mount small gun. they're medium fighters like sputnik said, and they should have slighty more firepower at best. IBG and Orion RevC have an extra small port, so why don't the vultures?

Vultures seem to be the serco weapon of choice, and they're nothing against a good Valkerie jockey or an IBG/RevC pilot.

oh, and about the revC being broken, i'd ask how much cargo space they hold. If they hold more than 6, they're only SLIGHTLY broken (for CTC), otherwise, i think they're a great reward for Orion standing; appropriate for how much time and work it takes to get a standing high enough to get one.
