Oh yeah, I was gonna post this. The game freezes up for a second or something. It's real annoying.
It's not broken, it was made like that so your ship wouldn't crash into the inside of the asteroid and bounce around like crazy. However, I feel that s10 station should be redesigned altogether so that it would have a continuous entry tunnel and a continuous exit tunnel separately, but the asteroid would be a bigger maze overall.
And on a more personal request, I feel that the asteroid tunnels should be small again like they originally were for 3.2.0. I liked how only skilled and patient pilots could only make it in. Now Joe Schmoe can simply throw a Centaur in there, bounce around all over the place, and dock with ease.

Yeah. It's not freezing up. It's playing the undocking animation, except your ship isn't given any forward velocity, so it's a very uninteresting animation.
Seperate entrance and exit tunnels would be cool. Make it a modular station with the entrance at one end of a maze of tunnels (as hard as the s45 maze or harder) and a separate exit dock.
and then put a big arse roid around it!
I say put the station inside two roids, each one rotating in opposite directions with one opening in each roid. You'll have to time it just right to go through both roids into the space within without issuing.

Heh, we had something like that way back in pre-3.0
There was this giant sphere that had multiple layers that all spun in different directions. There were 2 points where you could get through without dying and there was a big powerup in the middle.

Aw yeah, the Oddity. That thing totally ruled.
I had a bus war inside the sector 5 station... A larger scale of that in s10 would be awesome. Flying around a station maze shooting at each other would be so much fun. And I wish I'd been around for "The Oddity"! That sounds Excellent!

Check out some of the other images there. Then check back in with reality and try to date those. Let's just say that some features have been in for -quite- awhile.
WOW, some of those looked pretty familiar, brings back memories when I started playing like a year and a half ago...sniffle...I remember those old weapons HUD graphics...only 9 sectors....only 3 engines and batteries...the logout exploit...only a few space station designs...no special ships...NO D### VALKS!
