I just updated to 3.2.6, and I can no longer start vendetta. I click "play vendetta" and it stars the program, starts loading tetures, then it just closes.
Am I alone, and how soon until a fix?

Nope you're not alone. It doesn't happen every time but I'm getting it a lot.

I get the feeling that this may be related to the nVidia driver update provided by OS X 10.2.6. The nVidia driver update was meant to improve performance significantly for the UT2K3 demo on OS X. But in some cases driver updates can also break things, which may be the case here. So do all of you, with the bug, have nVidia GeForce cards?
Hmm, we don't have a gf4 for the mac so i can't test it here, but i wouldn't be surprised if it breaks.
heh. Should have looked first, but I have just reported this bug, too. I'm not sure what video card I have (stereotypical Mac user response, I know) but mine is a stock model G4, if that helps. The crash for me is every time. I get my pilot chosen and then it crashes, no error message other than the "has quit unexpectedly". No crash log, either. Help? Pretty please?
Zeke go to AppleSystemsProfiler (in your utilities folder) under the devices tab. The graphics card is in one of your PCI slots (probably the only one being used). That program will tell you the make and model.
This problem doesn't happen anywhere near as frequently if you reduce the resolution settings.
Here's my crash log too:

Not sure what that is, but it doesn't look like nVidia to me. :)

ERrrr.... that's odd. Sounds like a Radeon.
RV200 is Radeon 7500.
I have a upgraded G4 that had the dual 450hrz proc and put a dual 1 gig hrz in instead. I have also put in 1 gig of ram and installed a Radeon 8500 mac edition video card. Needless to say the game runs perfectly now. BTW I am running OS 10.2.6
400 mhz "Sawthooth"
AGP 2x GeForce2 MX400 (flashed for mac) 64 MB
384 MB ram.
The game is running just fine, it's a bit sluggish but that's becasue someone is on my iTunes account, sampling music.
*off topic* Contact me on AIM to get my IP/pass for iTunes l1lp4nd4.

Ya..... still getting the problem. It's increased in frequency and now crashes in game often.
I am also crashing upon texture loading. Already submitted a bug rep, just wanted to check and see if any workarounds posted here. Never had any problems w/ any previous version of Vendetta.
I have also been getting many crashes. I have experienced the unexpectedly quit bug. I'm using Mac os X 10.2.6 and I'm on an 800mhz Imac. I've found that it occurs when having multiple user names on your computer. I fixed it by redownloading vendetta on the user name that I want to play on and putting it on the desktop of that user. Then sometimes I get a big grey and black square in certain sectors, this was fixed by lowering background detail to very high.
My copy is loaded on under the same user that I play using. I cranked all the detail and resolution settings I could find as low as they would go. It still crashes in the same spot. This is VERY maddening.

Well, I have no idea what might have changed, but it just worked. I didn't play for long, but I'll give it a lengthier trial ASAP. At least it started up!
I am also having trubble with this new 3.2.6 , and 3.2.5 worked just fine with my system. The mintue i want to select a ship or leave the station i get a "red sky" picture and the thing crashes. If i run it in a console i get "Segmentation fault" returned.
this is with a G-force 4 400MX and linux mandrake 9.1 with the leatist nvidia drivers.
:(( i carn't play vendetta, help!
