I'd just like to note that VO-Gate's forum, http://vo-gate.com/forum/ (the largest community forum), has a stories forum with tons of stories that players have written since long before release. Considering that the profiles in this thread (http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/7/6936) are going to be put up there for viewing at some point in the near future, it would seem that running the contest from there is the best idea.

Considering that it would allow for the entering of many other stories that can easily be read online, there's not much of a reason to do it elsewhere.

seems nothing new has been posted there in quite some time. perhaps this contest will inspire new writings.

and i guess they can be longer than 1000 words, maybe a max of 5000.

Reason nothing new has been posted there is that nobody seems to know about it. We could easily publicize it.
