To start the discussion:

At least a few people of the current userbase feel the need for a specific irc channel for beta testers.
I think there are quite a few out there (at lest 4 iirc), although I suppose that after a quick spike of activity most of them dropped again. Right now is obviously not the right time, but if we set up one now (that has the blessings of at least a major part of the testers), it's guaranteed to work right once the final game is out.

What do you think?

Well, we already have quite a few that n00bs will never use. Such as #vendetta2, #vendetta-waylonics, #vendetta-roleplaying, etc.

Actually alienb, I don't think any of those are mine. #vendetta2 is SF's, #vendetta-waylonics is verds, and I've never even been in #vendetta-roleplaying.

No, it must be secret. Otherwise they might stumble upon it. Put it on another server. A super-secret server where we can hide and make fun of the post-test n00bs from our elitist lounge.

I thought Vendettaweb was going to be used by everyone. Someone should set up a private server somewhere. (I can in a few weeks)

I'll have a server up this weekend, and I'll personally let people know what it's address is, since we've already got lots of stress testers browsing the forums.
