Neoloader v7.0.0 -PBR1
This is a (much needed) ground-up rewrite of Neoloader. The underlying API is still 3.12.x, and the aim is to achieve 100% compatibility with Neoloader v6.3.0, while making future updates much easier to develop and existing systems more robust.
This is a beta because, while functionality has been implemented and tested to a satisfactory degree, there are still long-term testing requirements, and non-functional parts of the loader still need to be added.
About the new configuration option 'launch mode':
Neoloader can now run in two modes: Cooperative, and Independent. Independent mode will behave like Neoloader v6.3.0; the game will always load Neoloader first through the 'interface' loading option. In Cooperative mode, Neoloader will be loaded by the normal plugin loader, and delay some execution until after all plugins have loaded. Independent mode is the preferred default.
⚠️ Existing LME plugins may have issues under 'cooperative' mode. If you wish to use cooperative mode anyways, it is recommended to rename the "Neoloader" folder to "!Neoloader".
Language support:
Neoloader normally comes with built-in support for english, spanish, french, and portuguese. At this time, Neoloader v7.0.0 does NOT have language support, however. This is slated for PBR2.
As this is only a beta, Neoloader v7.0.0 will not be available on standard repositories at this time. You may download this from the project github. If you run into any issues, please share them here, in my DMs, or the modding discord.

Neoloader v7.0.0 - Public Beta Release 2
If you’ve been curious about the v7 rewrite, this is a good time to give it a try. Where PBR1 was about getting the new system running, PBR2 is about making sure it remains stable, behaves properly, and recovers cleanly when something goes wrong. With language support now implemented and several core systems refined, this release is ready for broader testing and use - and feedback is especially valuable at this stage.
What's new in PBR2:
⚙️Improved recovery system
• The recovery environment has been heavily refined. Errors are clearer, logs are easier to view, and recovery actions and options now render more reliably across the different hardware platforms and screen dimensions.
🌐Language support is now implemented
• English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese languages are now supported throughout Neoloader's core systems, including the setup and recovery menus, with plans for further language support!
💿First-time setup improvements
♦ Setup has been cleaned up and made more reliable:
• Language selection with appropriate flag representation, in case the user hasn't selected their locale yet or theirs isn't supported by the game
• Options are clearer, describing their intent more
• General flow has been simplified
Plus a number of other fixes and minor improvements!
About launch modes (unchanged from PBR1):
Neoloader can run in Independent or Cooperative mode. Independent mode remains the recommended default, and will behave like existing versions of Neoloader.
⚠️Some existing LME plugins may still have issues in Cooperative mode. Updates to support this new mode, and to Neoloader's documentation, will be rolling out within the next week or two.
This is still a beta, but PBR2 is significantly more stable and user-friendly than PBR1.
If you were waiting for things to settle a bit before trying v7 — this is a good time to jump in.

Neoloader v7.0.0 - Public Beta Release 3
PBR3 is the final planned public beta before Neoloader v7.0.0. While PBR2 focused on refining the new systems introduced by the rewrite, PBR3 focuses on polishing the experience, expanding language support, and hardening Neoloader against the edge cases uncovered during testing. If everything goes well, this build will become the basis for the final v7.0.0 release.
What's new in PBR3:
🌐 Expanded language support
Neoloader now supports Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, German, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, and Turkish, alongside the previously supported English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. The new Lexicon language system also provides improved fallback handling and transliteration support to improve use when the game's locale is set to English.
🛠️ Recovery and reliability improvements
The recovery environment has continued to mature with improved bundled-plugin recovery, registry cleanup, and numerous fixes to plugin version handling, startup behavior, and compatibility with existing plugins.
⚙️ Setup, manager, and mobile improvements
The setup experience has been further refined, neomgr has been fully migrated to the new language system, and several interface issues - including display problems affecting some mobile and VR devices - have been resolved.
Plus a large number of compatibility fixes, cleanup, translation improvements, and general polish throughout Neoloader's core systems.
PBR3 is intended to be the final public beta before the v7.0.0 release.
If you've been waiting for the rewrite to mature before trying it, now is the perfect time. Barring any major issues discovered during this public testing period, this build will be re-released as the final Neoloader v7.0.0.
Neoloader v7.0.0 is still not on the standard repositories yet. To download this PBR, please head to the project's GitHub repository:
