MRI- Mestina's Resurgence Iniative

I'd like to take a moment to talk about an idea for a guild that I've been thinking about since a few days ago. It's called MRI- Mistena's Resurgence Initiative. I want to make a guild, comprised mostly of veteran players who are knowledgeable about the 'verse.
The primary focus of the guild is player retention through interaction and education.
Interaction would be primarily through events- possibly a weekly schedule that focused on one aspect of the game a day, leaving room for 'Other' days to cover other various sections of Vendetta- Racing, Capships, killing queens etc. Something I've learned is that the game is so much better with others- as MMORPGs are intended. New players are often faced with a vast universe to transverse- alone. MRI would provide company for these newbs.
Education, in my opinion, can be handled in several different ways. I learn best by doing, and, like above, why not do with a potential friend? Answering questions, providing resources and experiences to show these valuable new players what they can expect.
I read the thread https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/1/39103 and was inspired recently. I want to create, and practice an environment for when these new players arrive that allows them to really enjoy one of my favorite, if not life changing aspects of Vendetta- The community. As Vendetta reshapes and changes, I find myself flying through the Verse alone, hardly coming across players. As someone who has witnessed otherwise: the peak of Vendetta- B8 full to the brim, EC battles, Nationwar with multiple groups in one nation, Deneb wars, pirates even, I think we all have a duty to make an effort to make the players expected by Guild Software's advertising campaign welcome, and introduce them to something I hold dear- the camaraderie that has transcended decades, both in game and off the screen.
I have a few veterans who are willing to aide me in the task, however, the more the merrier. As someone who literally grew up with the game, I think it's valid that we give the new generation of Gamers who install Vendetta the chance at the camaraderie we once had.
