Skins Update

The documentation on skins might be dated. This is all on Mac High Sierra.

- my config.ini default points to a directory called /skins/platinum, however no such repository exists anywhere in my Vendetta folder, even when showing hidden folders or files.
- creating a skins folder in the Vendetta directory (adjacent to Contents) and putting skin folders in there, then pointing config.ini to those skin folders, just breaks the game interface. Everything is whited out.

A bulk of the discussion on skins seems to have occurred 10+ years ago. I have a feeling things may have changed since then. Can we revise skin instructions?

You did placing the skins right if your game interface broke, but probably didn't edit config.ini properly. Edit the "skin=skins/platinum" to "skin=skins/", "skins" being the folder with the skin files. This should do it. Make sure there are no subfolders within "skins".

Unfortunately that did not work. Everything remained whited out.

these screenshots are on windows, but besides / being \, everything should be pretty similar to what you need:

The skin folder; not entirely neccesary, but I use it to seperate my skins from the rest of my files:

The config.ini file, edited to use the skin contained within "NikiMix":

Also, remember to not double-nest folders when extracting zip files. for example, within the folder "NikiMix" is where you find all the image files used to replace the skin. there is NOT another folder inside.

This is what the vo-wiki.com/wiki/skins page explains, but without pictures its likely hard to follow. Unless you read it here on the forums; dunno how current that stuff follows.
