Collaborative Videography
This thread is for players interested in creating Vendetta Online video content. There are (albeit few) wonderful examples of VO video content (tutorials, lets plays, news, talk shows, blaster-measuring contests...) on the web that have been inspiring to me as a current player and that kept me engaged as a newer player many PKs ago. Recently I was inspired by Nithandreal of [FAMY] who has been making a new channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXBBauHDHO8nye2PIPb3iHA - for La Familia guild.
I post these links to inspire anyone else in the community who thinks that this sort of player content is beneficial for the game and the player-base! Videos like these have drawn me in tighter to the community and story dynamics of Vendetta Online. If you feel similarly (or feel the need to post montages of your guild dancing in the dismembered corpses of your enemies) lets collaborate here to push that kind of content forward! If you are interested in contributing to the production of this type of material, discuss here on this thread! Tell us what you use to record game footage, what sort of activities you would like to see videotaped and made into youtube content, questions on how one might get into game-filming, recording and camera techniques, the event horizon is the limit!

I must admit that I've had a similar experience coming up in VO. Started my life as a mobile player, and honestly probably would have lost interest if it were not for YouTube videos. Seeing NW streamed, seeing the nationalists furbal, watching a Levi get solo'd got me hooked on VO, and are what made me put it on my Linux all those years ago.
Vendetta on the surface doesn't seem to have an end game, after you level up, stock up, and faction up....what's left? Role-playing! That's what keeps the player coming back. The relationships, the competition, the content that is 100% in the hands of players. It's the online society built by over the years by hundreds of people. These are the things the public needs to see.
There can never be a comprehensive "how to play this" or "how to become that" type video because there is no set answer. Everyone plays vendetta their own way. Everyone finds their niche. I feel simply making content, showing what you do in game for fun, make for good ways to interest new players. Honestly, Blaqk and lazy both inspired me to start creating with VOID's vids and Pew Chat Die respectfully. So far my content has been cut up raw screen capture with audio. Even the music is just my radio streaming while I'm playing. Future plans are to make videos specifically showing the fun parts of different RP. Obviously for me it will be a tail of conflict eventually finding a home with FAMY. For others it will be completely different, possibly free of combat. But videos that tell a story are an obvious next step for me. While thoroughly enjoying what I'm doing so far, it's a bit of work, but if it inspires even one person the way others have inspired me it will be completely worth it.
I would be more than happy to help anyone wanting to get started, or who wants help with a project. That goes double for mobile players who may not be able to capture themselves.
