Upcoming Plugin: RoidHunter

For all those completionists out there (myself included).

This plugin will scan an area for all visible roids, and keep track of which ones you've scanned and which ones you haven't. It then stores this for later use.

It also has an autoscan feature that will grab the next closest, unscanned roid and targets it. Once you've scanned that roid, it grabs the next, and so forth.

I'm also going to be including a peer to peer transfer mechanism so that 1) I don't have to pay for a web-server (I know I know, I'm cheap ;) ) and 2) you can share you results with friends/guild mates/everyone.

It'll allow you to transfer a sector's mapping to friends via a private message or a channel (100 and 11 prohibited, of course :))...

Anywho, I've gotten the autoscanning and saving features done, but just thought I'd throw up a screenshot of the current interface.

FYI: The Ore column just has BS in it :D It'll have more meaningful data once I get the actual stuff in there, heh.

Thoughts? :)

Lol, this is pretty cool. I was wondering about what could help miners in the game, and this effectively would be a database of where to mine different ores.

Strictly from this point of view, as a tool for finding the right ore to mine, i wonder if there would be a few ways to be more practical.

For example, we would have a listing of asteroids with roid ID, but how will that help us find a particular roid? For practicality, we wouldn't necessarily need to know the details of each roid, but rather a more general overview of the sector. For miners, maybe there could be an sector overview screen that calculates a mean for the different metal occurrences in the sector...

P.S., if anyone already knows of any existing ore database/mining tools let us know...!
