Evolved Role Play Forum
I want to introduce a new role play forum for the Vendetta community called Evolved Vendetta. It is a comprehensive role play forum designed and administered by an experienced server op and role player from the Freelancer community. We've moved on to bigger and better things (Vendetta, heh) and would like to offer our former Freelancer domain for the use of the Vendetta community.

A couple nitpicks I have after poking around...
- It's "Itani Nation", not "Itani Empire".
- There's no "Federation" after "UIT", which stands for "Union of Independent Territories".
- Many guilds are multi-national. Where do they go?
- What's wrong with having multiple characters, some of whom are in different guilds? One of the benefits of the official VO forum is that we don't need to sign up for an account for each of our (sometimes six or more) characters. (One of the downfalls is that we can't exactly post *as* the characters, but I digress, and it's possible to get trial accounts for that purpose.)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll correct those discrepancies immediately. I took a little artistic license in naming those forums. How about the Serco Dominion? Is there a Serco Dominion, or is it just Serco Nation?
By "multi-national", do you mean independent? In role play terms, which nation are they a citizen of, or are they duel (triple) citizens? I'm asking in the interest of accuracy. Whatever the community thinks about that is how it'll be. I can create a fourth guild forum for non-citizens (or triple citizens).
And there's certainly nothing wrong with having multiple characters. We can change the forum rules allowing multiple accounts if that's what people prefer. It's just been my experience as a operator of a rp forum that sometimes multiple characters are abused. Some players are not entirely honest and don't tell guild leadership that they are members of another guild and then we get into the complaints of "espionage" and etc. But I'm open to modifying that one because in game you log on with a user name, but then select one of six characters to play.

I think what Miharu (and I) would like to see, is an option to be a multi-nation guild. For instance, in PA we have all three kinds of nationalities (Serco, UIT and Itani), so I wouldn't know where to put my guild...
And regarding the "spying" on other guilds, if people already have alts in more guilds, then it won't matter if they have them in the roleplay forum. If they want to spy, they will do it ingame or on the respective guilds own webpages...

Hmm. Perhaps spying is a legitimate tool of diplomacy (like the real world?). I think you're right. Maybe we'll leave the background checks and security to the guild leadership. I'll change the rules to allow multiple characters, but also change the qualifications for a private guild forum to say that you must have five UNIQUE user accounts (i.e. five separate IP addresses) to qualify. I'd like to make the standards for a guild forum a little more relaxed than the 10 members required for an officially sanctioned guild, it may make it a little easier for guilds to collect the needed 10 players.
As for the mutli-national guild, you're absolutely correct! How many nationalities are represented in the United States of America under a single flag? Lots. I think I'll reconfigure that entire section of forum.

IP's change you know.
Other than the nitpicks the others have mentioned already, might I suggest you move the "Random Pics" out of plain view? If a newbie who had no knowledge of the actual Vendetta came by (however unlikely such an event may be), they could get confused if they went to check the game out.
I can certainly relate to your desire for a separate RP forum, though; the one Guild Software provides is very much a commentary about in-game events, and has its own timeline and established pseudo-lore attached with it. Can make things difficult sometimes.

Heh, the pics are leftovers from Evolved's days as a Freelancer server. I'll get some screen shots from Vendetta to replace them. Another cool thing is that anyone can upload a screen shot to the forum.
As for the Vendetta forum software, I definitely see it's benefits. As far as I'm concerned it's the "offial" rp forum where the actual story of the Vendetta galaxy is told (the BIG picture). Evolved is more guild and independent oriented. It's more "ambient", the million background stories that are going on.

I tried to register but I couldn't see the captcha image that is required for the visual verification.
Fixed.
