Right now, it's just a bank bot with the functionality of ELIT Bank. Planned features are a long-term messaging system (IRC MemoServ-style), a web-based interface, a lottery, guild accounts, etc. The framework is there for almost any feature, any suggestions?

Not a suggestion, but I assume the lottery will be like the one I've heard about from the earlier days, as opposed to risking the money we have in the bank without our consent? Not that I have an account (although apparently SmittensIsPaintedYellow still has some cash from when I switched his name)
The lottery won't lose the bank any money, the way I'm doing it... >:D
I'm also adding regular interest to accounts based on the amount you have in it, Neopets style (i.e. 24 hours after you last withdrew/deposited/collected you can collect the interest, but if you don't collect it you don't get it).

does it do anything yet? I msg it and it doesnt do anything back.
Then it broke again :D
If you /msg it or /givemoney it and it doesn't respond, LET ME KNOW! If you let me know soon enough I can deal with the problem, but if the log clears (in the case of a givemoney) that money is gone forever! (I'm in channel 203, or solra@tejat.net on Jabber if Services is completely dead and not just the controller script)

By the way, I'm going to explicitly spell it out here, as this is becoming an annoyingly common error... 1,000,000 credits is 0.1% interest. NOT 10%, 0.1%!

And here I thought IA could boot all our traders... (I'm kidding! We need you! WE NEED YOU LIKE AIR!)
Whatever became of Services?
It died. (Along with Solra's HD)
Solra refuses to resurrect it.

How was it implemented? How did it interface with VO?
Yeah, I think Solra used Lua to write some stuff that hooked in to the server, but I could be totally and completely wrong.
Far as I know, it was just a player account with a script running in the background that watches errors.log and feeds back responses to incoming messages. I'm pretty sure there are no open interfaces for players to work with besides what we see on the website and what we can "see" in game.
The trick is making sure it does The Right Thing when necessary.

I thought he got "permission" from the devs to do some next-level stuff. I could be wrong.
I guess we'd have to get a response from him. I'm reasonably sure everything that Services did could be handled with the method I described without any trouble, just a lot more code and thought than what goes into something like PFS. However, because it runs as its own character, perhaps he wanted approval to make sure that such a use of an account was Kosher according to the ToS
