I think I was Dogpiling for games in beta.
I was googling for online games for the mac.
February '05 issue of Macworld
Ambrosia forums, back when I read them.
IMG (Inside Mac Games) had an article, something along the lines of, Vendetta now with 3 sectors. I followed the link and bookmarked guild software. I didn't sign up until that first triangle of um 6(?) or uh 10(?) sectors was created. Almost immediately Phoenix beat me up and I was hooked.

Well found it late by seeing it in a store then read some reviews and decided to check it out, been hooked ever since.
followed a link from some now long defunct MMO website that tracked upcoming multiplayer games, found this neat little game called the vendetta test (it had 9 whole sectors) and promptly got so hooked that not only am i still here, but i'm posting this from work (shhhh dont tell my boss)
An ex-boyfriend. The good thing about having him around was that it didn't take me three weeks to find out there was a turbo or how to dock, or whatever.
He's also the reason why I joined Serco.
Thankfully, he doesn't play anymore...

my friends were obsessed with it, talked about it at lunch every day, so I decided to check it out. It was awesome, and I learned how to play somewhat quickly because of them.
Let's see, who were they?
Flea
Digital Calmbr (or just Calmbr sometimes)
Mufmaster5000
All have stopped playing unfortunately, I think they don't like the skills system, but that's their fault.

Pretty sure I saw it on The Linux Game Tome sometime in October of 2002 since I joined on the same day that 3.0.9 came out. Check out those old changelogs!
