Can I play Vendetta thru' a firewall?
I just changed jobs. Now I'm working 7 to 9 at this startup comapny which allows only http internet access. Is there any way I can soup up Vendetta to work trhough it. (I'm thinking a properly configued proxy server running my comp should do the trick, but I'm not sure how).
It's been months since I played Vendetta and miss the game badly. I hope my account doesn't get nixed.

i think that if you can post replies on the forum and all that you can rest assured that you have your account still. dont take my word on that though.
sorry i dunno about the firewall thing, im just a stupid person when it comes to building a computer.

good luck though, hope you find your way back to Vendetta

I think you will have to use HTTP tunneling to a proxy outside of your network, like a box at your home for instance.
I'm not sure which ports Vendetta uses, but i'm sure someone knows...
If nobody does and the Devs are busy, u can always just run netstat with the game running

Unless you're trying to host, a firewall shouldn't affect you too much. I'm running behind one currently and can play just about any server in which I connect to it. If you're the server, it's a different matter however and you have to open ports.
That depends DR, some firewalls block both incoming AND outgoing. IE say block all access to outgoing ports BUT 80 and 443.
The port listings for Vendetta are in the FAQ under the design and technical heading
