Once upon a time in my younger years I decided to climb the 11,000 peak Mt. Gothic solo. There is an expansive forest on the eastern side in which I got lost, all night, in woods so huge navigation without a compass was impossible. Wandering until the early AM I found a creek, leading to a lake, leading to a stream, which led out of the forest and to a mountain road.
