This thread is to document the progress of my latest project :)

It's a 1 owner with 90,000miles, picked it up for 1300$ about 9 hours away from my house.

It's pretty hard for me to spend much time outside with stage 4 cancer, the drugs I'm on really let the heat get to me, Florida sunshine doesn't fuck around.

I replaced the alternator this morning while it was still timid outside, I'll get back to it once that sun goes away.

My mom had one of these in the deep candy-apple red. She literally drove it like a little old lady, just a few miles every few days. I used to borrow it when I visited my parents, usually when I was attending a professional conference in their area. The conferences often started early, so I would get out on the freeway and floor that thing on an empty stretch with nobody around. I'm pretty sure it looked forward to my visits.

Sold it? Crashed it?

She sold it and got a Scion FR-S in ticket-me red. She won't even get on the freeway anymore. One of my brothers drove her in it from Southern to Northern CA overnight when she moved - ran it up when she fell asleep on Highway 5. Many bugs lost their lives.

Excellent goal. I will say that the Celica really hunkered down and grabbed the road at about 95MPH, so that project seems like instant fun.

Nice! You should get a Mazda RX-7,That makes a mean tuner if you do it right.

If I had a Rx7 it wouldn't be a rotary so it defeats the purpose.

I've always liked rx7,never knew why.
