Spike in "Vendetta Online" search volume
This is kind of cool:
https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=vendetta%20online
The search volume for "Vendetta Online" is the highest it's been in nearly four years (with only partial data for November).
I don't think it's a stretch to say this is somewhat an indicator of new players joining the game in the future. If a lot of people are suddenly searching for "Vendetta Online" (like, the highest number of searches in years and years) then...
If I were a weatherman, I'd say there's a good chance of it raining newbies. Not a given, but a chance to be cautiously optimistic.

I hate to be the bubble burster, but this is likely just one or a few people using google to search the forums. I'm not sure it's significant to go from 29 searches to 70 something. I have previously (easily) performed 15 searches tweaking parameters slightly to find a specific thread from years and years ago. I am still trying to find the proper query that correctly identifies all of the times that Inc scolds Greenwall.

Except that it's a normalized graph, not an absolute number (just like the Active Players Graph). The highest volume (100) was in January 2012. It's partly a seasonal effect; still, the strongest one I've seen in years.
Meanwhile, El Nino continues to bring higher precipitation than average to the gulf states.

Damn, people who already know about the term Vendetta Online are searching the term Vendetta Online, the game is sure to be rich and populous instantly!
Sorry bud but this is the actual trend for vendetta online, when people were actually searching for the game. The link you posted was almost exclusively for Romania, and was probably a search for something related to "V for Vendetta" or something similar, since the search term "V for Vendetta Online" coincides with it perfectly.

Ah, that explains it. I'll be kicking this to Off Topic, then.
Yes, I agree with Savet. I'm guessing at least half of all google searches about vendetta online result from repeated frustrated attempts at searching the forums.
And I think Incarnate has scolded me about four times.

Absolute proof the game is dying lulz.

No, it could be like CrazySpence suggested; that more people know about the term "Vendetta Online" and hence fewer are searching for it (on the other hand, you may be right).
I think it would be a mistake to draw an absolute correlation between the health of the playerbase and number of searches. Hence "cautiously optimistic".
At any rate, less reason to be excited than I thought: I didn't realize my search term was getting superpositioned with "V for Vendetta". Still, I'm not entirely convinced that the other (movie) graph is completely accurate, either: it's hard to believe there is such a seasonal trend for a decade-old film. I guess it must be a Romanian tradition, or something?
Oh, wait... 'remember, remember'... well, then.

Guess some genius did not remember, remember the Fifth of November.

Seems like Vendetta Online should capitalize on the name clash here a bit...
