I'm Bored. Ask Me Something.
I have a week off from work just as I came back from vacation. So you can imagine how I'm running out of stuff to do. So AMA.
How did you find VO?
I use to watch x-play on tech/g4tv and they featured VO on their show. I never played elite or any of those other games, not even EVN. So to me it was a completely brand new concept and looked very exciting.
[edit] I would play and love EVN later, so you could say VO introduced me to an entire genre of games.

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
Where did my question go?
Peter Piper traded his peck of pickled peppers for Niki's question.
So, where did you vacation to? And more importantly, did you happen to get any cuban cigars? :)
I didn't go anywhere. I was working close to 60 hours a week since november up until a few days before christmas. So I decided to stay home and do a few things around the house, fix water heater etc. I was in Jamaica earlier this year for about 10 days though and that was interesting. First time I ever left the country. The food was amazing, getting hassled by merchants was not. But they *have* to do that for a living. So I understood.
And no, no cubans.

What is the dorkiest weapon? Also, which individual asteroid is your favorite?
Dorkiest weapon? I've never really given that any thought. That is difficult for me since I was rather unconventional with weapon choices. BUT, we'll just say the HV Gatling Cannon. Seeing as how I bugged the devs for 2 or 3 years for it and finally got it and it still sucks.
Favorite individual asteroid is easy, the rotating helio roid in.... b5? I forget.
[edit] I remember it being in an unmarked roid field, i think b-5 is a station sector? Which also has helio, but this is a "bone roid".

As someone born outside the US, I've never understood the appeal of the Republican Party. Could you explain why it appeals to so many American voters?
For that matter, explain it to me. I was born in the US.
Republican and Democrat alike appeal to stupid people. These political parties get their votes by knee-jerk bullshit from politicans and "journalists" who couldn't give a damn about us "plebes". It is a religion to them, no matter how many rational thoughts you summon to cleanse their minds of their delusions, they will not listen to you. These "voters" only listen to the people who rape them repeatedly every night at 8 or 10 or whenever their "news show" comes on. It is stockholm syndrome at its grandest scale. The partisans are right, they're always right. Nothing short of their self annihilation will prove otherwise. It is a self fulfilling prophecy that unfortunately ruins the rest of our lives as well.
Rotating bone roid with heliocene is in Helios A5; B7 is the station sector with the sweet 92% roid.
If I use my horn in an empty sector, with my sound muted, does it still make a sound?
Faille.
Faille.

If it fired anywhere near it's rated speed it wouldn't suck, but it doesn't. :)
