So I know Kickstarter and Early Access in general has received quite the kick in the pants recently, what with Starforge, SpaceBase DF-9, and others, but this seems like a project worth backing despite recent disappointments.

The guys working on this have been at it over a year already, and much of the game is already there, as shown by a significant amount of videos and other media. The goals and time frame are realistic, and the devs aren't promising a ton of wonderful features to get their game sold. It is also built around the Oculus Rift. More importantly, the concept sounds like a fantastic idea for a fun and immersive space game.

Does/will it run on Linux?

Unfortunately, not immediately.

This Kickstarter will fund the Windows version of Flagship. We are planning to release on Mac and Linux platforms as well, but the these may come later, pending any platform specific issues we run into. - From their Kickstarter page.
