Humble Indie Bundle 9
i no get this humble bundle. so i pay for avators.. were can i use these avatars. can i use them on this forum?
I don't know why you're talking about avatars. The Humble Bundle sells a bundle of games, not avatars.
"Pay what you want"? They're showing a LOT of trust in people.
Ya, they have. That's why they have raised over 3 million actual dollars. It's a good deal.
Yeah, it works. It's been working for years, that's why they still do it. Note that generally, Humble Bundle games are games that have already been out for a while (though they may have only recently been ported to alternate platforms). Things like this revive them for a bit, helping to milk them for more revenue. And I don't mean that in a bad way.
Also, the thing about being indie (any kind of indie, whether games, music, lit, whatever) is that nobody knows you exist. Publicity is extremely important. The Humble Indie Bundle is also a publicity stunt. It gets your name and product out there where people are more likely to see them and hopefully become fans who will buy your other newer games.

Wonder if VO could pull off something like this... throw in a 3-month sub option for a HIB?
Perhaps just a one month sub; three months is $27, quite high compared to the average of the games typically on there.
