Luigi eating dinner
Does this species always strike at their food a few times and let it lay there before chowing down? I guess that makes sense to give their venom time to work so they don't have to try and swallow a squirming rodent with claws and teeth.
I've never tried giving him live food, but every other species I've kept does allow the venom to work before finishing the meal. One bite is usually sufficient, I just wanted to get plenty of striking behavior for the camera. He probably would have finished it sooner, but he was defending his kill from me while I relocked the cage.
Why did you name him Luigi? Did you have a previous reptile named Mario?
I assume you keep "Princess", your other snake, "locked away in another cage."
Bwaha.

It's a play on the European/Eastern pronunciation of Luigi which is pronounced Loogie, which is American slang for spitting....which he does.
Tyler Durden: "How's that working out for you?"
Savet: "What?"
Tyler Durden: "Being clever."
