Lemming: That's the first intelligable argument you've presented so far. Yes, Joe and Jane Average will refer to most colas a Choke (and in points south, it's not uncommon for them to refer to ALL soft drinks as Choke), most copiers as Xerox machines, most adheisive bandages as Bandaides (in England, I believe they refer to vacuuming as Hovering though I may be wrong on this point). The brand name has become a generic term for anything belonging to a specific genra.
In all honesty, any cola would probably have the same effects. Much of it is probably quite solidly in the relm of urban legends. :-)
cembandit: What you're really trying to say is that you drink a lot, right? ;-)
Urza: I'm sure that you can now see that I was not insulting Pepsi, I was insulting Choke. (I still want to know if it is possible to actually insult a soft drink. I mean, does it really care what I think about it?)
I'm trying a little experiment with a 3 liter bottle of Choke and some oil stains in my driveway. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Point taken Forum Moderator. Well put.
LOL!! Choke is slang for coke/cola? I thought you guys were making fun of the beverage company. Hmm... I suppose calling soda "pop" (all you Pittsburgh dudes know what I'm talking about) isn't any better. Haha... funny slang terms these odd people have made up.
Want to know why I call it "Choke"? Chug it and you'll find out why. :-D
Arolte, i think they are.. He just keeps on insulting Coke by calling it Choke.
I cant see how anyone can drink coke and alcohol.. But then again, i limit myself to strong alcoholic beverages. And acid + suger + alcohol = bad. bad bad bad. i will never forget the morning after that ngiht...

I can chug it fine without choking. Although I can see why people say it's more volatile than Pepsi. And in some ways I agree Pepsi tastes better because of its smoother flavor and lack of aftertaste. On the other hand I also like vanilla a lot, and Coca-Cola got it right with their brand of vanilla soda. Pepsi's vanilla soda tastes way too sweet and soapy. But as I said, I'd prefer cream soda over both.
As a french horn player, I relish both coke and root beer right before a performance. It burns the crud off your teeth if you've eaten something and haven't brushed.
Try putting a Tbone in coke for a week, it'll be gone and the bone will be rubber.

Sweeet...
Yeah... also try dipping a molar in a glass of coke and leave it in there for a while. After about half an hour or so the tooth will feel like rubber. Sometimes you can even feel this effect if you drink too much coke. Thankfully it's only temporary. Although I'm sure it doesn't have any pleasant long-term effects.
Didn't have a chance to check and see if that bottle of Choke I upended on the driveway has done anything as of yet. Will check tonight.
Actually, I'll drink both but I do prefer Pepsi. I also prefer Vanilla Pepsi to Vanilla Coke. This is a personal preference. I do not expect you to switch nor am I trying to foist my personal preferences upon you.
The reason I started this thread was to keep the Coke vs Pepsi argument from hijacking the warm fuzzies post for the Forum Moderator.
Your millage may vary. Batteries not included. Serve chilled. Don't drink and drive, the life you save might be mine. US.REG.PAT.OFF.

Vanilla Coke > j00
Is that good or bad Uncle Dave?
For those who failed math class and l33t 5p34k, that reads as...
"Vanilla Coke is greater than you!"

I have to chip in here. coke is better with alcohol, thats why the drink is a rum and COKE after all, rum and pepsi sounds dumb and tastes worse.
other than that, when I want a carbonated beverage, I drink Mt Dew.

Mountain Dew was rated to be the soda with the highest sugar intake. If anything is more volatile than Coca-Cola, it's gotta be Mountain Dew. Bleagh. I guess you can argue that it makes a good contraceptive. Although Code Red changes all that, hehe.
i never said to mix the alcohol.. Pepsi makes a better chaser.
And rum and cokes.. Why waste good rum?

Liquor tastes like burning. Rum tastes like crap. Beer tastes like piss. I fail to see why people like alcohol so much. If it's about washing your worries or chilling out, may I suggest playing games with your friends or going out with a beautiful woman instead? Heck, even TV is enough for me.
Rum tastes nice, but whisky tastes like cinders. Tia Maria tastes like spicy chocolate, and goes great with... COCA-COLA.
