So there's a new MMO for you big stompy robot fans, MechWarrior Online. It's in open beta right now.

Basically VO with robots. It's a lot of fun, I suggest giving it try.

Looks fun. I don't see system req's anywhere on their site, is the download a windoze-only app?

Doze only yes, it runs on my old computer with outdated hardware so...

It has a bit of a learning curve as well, especially starting out.

I played every MECH themed game since Mechwarriors2 , including expansion packs, online multiplayer, etc... very fun game and way more "realistic" and complex, with LOTS of customization for each the many chassis...

-Armour amount and type (regular, reactive, reflective)
-Engine
-Weapons (Energy and Ammo)
-Ammd
-Heat Sinks
-Defenses
-Sensors increase
-Decoy/Stealth

and basic premisse: limited slots, so no one can have everything...
