Funner than it... looks.
Didn't you hear about the massive hissy-fit the dev threw? Probably not, he did a good job of covering it up.
Players didn't like (really didn't like (REALLY REALLY didn't like)) a mechanic he had implemented. Rather than listen to them like a good dev does, he banned everyone who criticized him or it, at all, those defended them, those who defended the defenders (whole player groups were wiped out, including the largest), erased any evidence of any of the bannings, and now locks threads mentioning the event or which are not full of praise for him, permabans the posters, and erases any evidence that either the thread or poster ever existed.

And that kind of thing is precisely why some of us make such a big deal about keeping moderation minimal.
Well, he's making a good game so far, and it is his game. Players can't have everything. :p I'm fine with him losing his temper a little as long as he keeps working on this.
You'll be okay with it right up until you say something he doesn't like and he bans your sorry ass.
'I'm alright with it as long as it isn't me getting it up the asshole'

*shrug* If I get banned, I was warned. ;)
Thanks for a whole 2 days lost of my life that I'll never get back. Apparently my nick was not welcome there, and as soon as I declared a capitol, I was pwned. lol
Just getting to the part where you play the game is annoying. It's not accepting *any* of my names for some reason.
Legos?
Didn't accept any of mine either. LOL.
Made an account finally, and then realised it wasn't for Mac, after wandering around the site for about 15 mins.
Fuck, they made it hard enough to navigate..

I think rather he just didn't spend the time making it easy. I've got a two-day empire going right now, I'm long past reaching spaceflight and have colonized four worlds in my home system. I also have two other players as citizens (not alts, real people).
This game is really cool and all, but the performance is so amazingly bad. I read that it requires validation from the server before any movement actually happens, instead of using the more typical approach of moving client-side and then verifying with the server asynchronously. The result is extremely jerky movement, even though you can rotate the view smoothly (so it isn't an FPS issue). And then it seems to randomly lock up for five to ten seconds half the times I right-click to switch to clicky-mode, or sometimes when I switch to or use certain items.
Oh, and there's the extra lag that always happens just as you're approaching a planet, which if you forget often results in you either overshooting or finding yourself crash landed (thankfully there doesn't seem to be any collision damage from that; maybe I just haven't crashed fast enough yet...)
Having fun with it so far (two days in), but I think it won't take many more days for frustration to overwhelm the good things. Will have to read their forum and see if I can find any explanation for those lockups, otherwise I'll make a bug report.

I haven't experienced any lockups like you describe, but the movement lag gets bad, yeah. I'm kinda used to it now.... What's your character's name? Vestaire is mine.
Well, I gave it a week, got my empire to the 40(ish) position (all by myself), and then got really bored of the stupid AI captains flying my ships into suns/crashing into atmo on planets they didn't even get orders to land on.
Nice concept, maybe I'll check it out again in time. But for now, the Lego empire is dead.

I am known as King Torbealoc of Treedonia, Ruler of Spacefaring Antlered Hawkfaeries, Master of Simple Flags, and Mover of Crates with Motorcycles.
Ok, I just cant put it down, heh, I hate you tarrenty.
Haha, it's another one of those.
Weird, I got really tired of it and I didn't even set a capitol
