Needs moar shaguar.
...And now, Professor Chaos will actually address the point of my post.
Formation flying is coolness squared!
Lecter, have you implemented that iDashPad yet?

And Strpwn, your point was... ?
All I got out of both of your posts was that if it's more than three minutes old, it's not cool anymore. Perhaps you are not good at communicating your point. Please try again if you think it's important.

In a word, no:
[edit]I'll see about loading one of the recent photos later; suffice to say it's a mess[/edit]
Work has kept me from finishing the climate control removal, much less completing the interior strip and restoration. We'll see what autumn brings in terms of time to get all the old foam and rust stripped off, the interior reprimed, that Goddamned AC/heater core unit pulled out, and modern Damplifier Pro fitted so I can install the new Wilton wool carpet and reupholstered leather seats, etc.

Damn, I'm sorry for that.
For what it's worth, I know how you feel. My XJ is waiting for a carb synch, a port & polish and a thorough facelift & rejuvenation treatment.
But I need a bike to replace her first.
Edit: Forgot the damper oil change and spring replacement >_>

I see these planes. Every. Day. I hear these planes. Every. Day. In season, I only have to look up to see them practice for the airshow. From my house, I get to view the airshow several times during their practices, before I choose not to go to it. As I am typing this, I hear a plane rumbling in the background. These are not new to me. After several years of this I am desensitized to aerial stunts and their other calculated risks.
I am going to restate the apathy from my first post. Meh.

Yeah, I got that. So? You're not going to make me feel sorry for you. I shouldn't even dignify you with this and my previous responses, but really, there's absolutely no point to your posts, unless it's that you suck because you like to disparage something not on its own merits but on the basis that you've already seen it. This is as bad, if not worse, as the idiots who like to be first to say "old meme is old", which is ironically one of the oldest and stupidest memes of all, every time someone discovers something cool and decides to share it, instead of just a "yeah, I remember that one, that's cool". I guess if this can make you feel smug and superior, good for you, but I'll call you out as an idiot. Maybe if one of those planes crashed into your home you wouldn't take them for granted anymore. Next time think about how great it is you get to see these planes every day, rather than how much better you are than everyone because you do. That "sense of wonder" you lack is far more satisfying a feeling than your own pretentiousness.
Lecter, out of curiosity: What do you drive when your Jag is on the gurney?
I live in New York City - there's no need to drive anything anywhere and, at $200/month for indoor parking at my building, I cringe at the waste of keeping a second car around. When I move home to Virginia in a few years, I'll probably get a '10 Jeep Rubicon.
How's the dual tank setup on the XJ treating you?

Er. I should have been clearer, I do not have a Jaguar XJ, but a 1983 Yamaha XJ900 motorcycle. >_>
My apologies for writing a misleading post.

The edit cleared up that it was not a XJ of the type I know; I'm envious of a piece of vintage motorized transportation that you can wheel into your apartment to rebuild. I could put the XJS on the floor of my apartment without structural risk, but neither the elevators nor the doorways are capable of getting it in and out.
Well, I can relate to that. My landlords won't let me have a garage, and I live one flight of stairs up - no elevator.
I'll put her in a friend's garage and work on her there, though.
I still wish you the best of luck with getting your Jag back on the road, though. :)
