Genka, my school has somewhere between 20-35 Macs running OSX, ranging from G4 Cubes, to iBooks (the non-toilet seat kind), to eMacs. Oh yeah, and the iBooks have AirPort so you can carry them around the Bio Lab.
The problem with that is this: MONEY
My school's computer lab is all iMacs because that was all they could afford (they got them cheap by buying in bulk). 20-35 os x capable macs. That means original purchase price was probably around $1000-$2000 a unit. Which means your computer lab cost more than... my entire school. And don't even get me started on how much it would cost to replace the janitors-who-are-now-computer-technicians with proper computer people.

me thinks that electric is a very, very, very lucky person
Ummmm... Actually, eMacs are only about $850. And that's without a student discount or bulk discount (which would make them even cheaper)...
Yeah, the lab's all eMacs, there's also another room with Windoze machines. There's also a few towers for video editing. Oh, and Bob the Band Director gets a tower 'cause we're setting up a recording studio. My school is very, very rich.
stupid rich schools!
