You need to indulge in the cuisine of foreign cultures more often, 'zums.

Did you just ask me out on a date?

Somehow I have the odd feeling that the main course will be different than what I had envisioned...

No, that's just dessert.

Of course, unfortunately, nowhere in America serves antelope prepared in that manner . . . which is a damn shame, because it's delicious.

I'm more surprised that antelope is served at all...

or wait, I'm not. Is there a restaurant you can recommend, Lecter?

I had it at Chez Spencer in San Fransisco a few years ago, but looking their current menu it seems to have been replaced with a venison tenderloin. New endangered species rules? Hopefully not.

[edit]Looks like a few places in NYC serve it in some form or another, but the best looking option, Polo Lounge, is now under new management and no longer has it on the menu; but worth checking in case they bring it back. Or find out where the old chef went when they switched management and check his/her new restaurant's menu.[/edit]

hrmm, wonder if the next deer i see hit i should just let die on its own then instead of blowing its brains out?
May 20, 2010 Dr. Lecter link
Maybe give it a shot of adrenaline and chase it around until it dies.

I aint in no shape to go chasing deer jacked up on adrenaline.

Stop thinking like a tiger. You're a human. Use wheels.

Plus, between the initial injury, the adrenaline shot, and the subsequent chasing... I think it would keel over in pretty short order.

Hmm...

I'm not too fond of making organisms suffer unnecessarily before I eat them.

On the other hand, bruised Antelope steak sounds pretty nice.

Decisions, decisions...

If it makes them tastier, it's not unnecessary suffering.
