because I don't know jack.

This this is how I learn.

Also helped.

For those of you who don't know, the VO forums seem to be built on a dumbed-down BBCode. A tutorial you may want to take a look at is here.

Seriously - people don't already know all this stuff?

Of course not Leebs, that's why MS Publisher and FrontPage rock.

Leber... I know ACTUAL html, not pseudo-html :p.
bold/underline/italics I've had for a year, images and named links I just figured out.

This stuff started out as BBCode and has been around for, what, 10+ years? Maybe I'm just used to PHPBB forums, i dunno.

Good for you for learning the simple mockup stuff, Atice! Now, since you know HTML as well, I fully expect you to go learn proper CSS in order to make useful websites. Now... GO!

MS Publisher and Frontpage are the bane of my existence, vskye. If I could travel back in time a la Terminator and exterminate the people who created those programs, I would gladly sacrifice myself for the greater good.

I don't know. It's not like it's hard to search the forums (it really isn't, you just have to know how), and the commands are not so numerous that a compendium would be justified as opposed to a helpful post or two once in a while, like in this thread.

Cause someone who signs up and tries to post will magically know that the forums accept any commands at all.
I mean it's totally obvious.
Being not mentioned anywhere noticeable at all.

I thought it was pretty obvious, personally. It's generally a good assumption that any given forum will at least support [i ], [b ], and [u ] tags. Once you see an image (which appear in at least 1 in 10 threads), it becomes pretty clear that [img ] is the way to do it.
