Nice!

Don't need to prefix your subject lines with your username, though :)

I see you found the appropriate forum for your bullshi...er, contributions. Now, try to keep all of your future jerk-off threads in here (or, preferably, in community projects).

Thanks so much for contributing to the game!

Just because you opted to eat the paint, glue, and crayons in grade school instead of ever learning how to use them doesn't mean you've got to get all sensitive about it Lecter.

Funny how, when people create stuff, they like to show their creations to other people for criticism and feedback. The nerve.

This isn't an art forum, Gav, and his ship models are not relevant to VO, no matter how much his self-important postings claim that they are. I have zero problem with him posting this silly crap in Off Topic or in Community Projects.

They're relevant simply because there is a large enough portion of the community who would love to see a system in place where user generated content such as ships and equipment has the possibility to make it into the game. The fact that that wish is little more than a pipe dream doesn't make it any less real. (See the many ship design contest threads and the lengths they reached for example).

You also seem to be unaware of the fact that many people who model for a hobby (whether CG or more traditional) love using pre-exisiting environments as a basis for their concepts, be it movies, books, or games. Feedback from communities directly involved with these particular environments seems to be pretty damn relevant to me. Especially considering feedback from outside these communities is often not informed enough to really be of any use. And that's not even touching on some of the stigmas surrounding this kind of "art" in proper "art" communities.

While bigger franchises have communities that have arisen to cater to these kind of hobbyists, I think it's safe to say that VO is in no danger of such a specific community anytime soon.

Not a single thing you just said supports clogging the Suggestions forum with a constant stream of the dubious fruits of this pointless exercise, Gav. Xico can ask for all the totally irrelevant to VO feedback he wants in Community Projects (he's apparently a community member, and this is his non-VO related project) or here in Off Topic (non-VO related crap belongs here).

I agree. I will now post 7 or 8 threads in suggestions to discuss the matter. Dr. Lecter, I hope you'll clog these threads with a constant stream of dubious and totally irrelevant feedback. Please try to keep all of your future jerk-off posts confined to this thread.

Thanks so much for contributing to the thread!
