HoN is an upcoming DotA-based game developed by S2 Games, the makers of Savage and Savage 2. It's in closed beta right now, but if you join their facebook group you will be sent an invite when they reach 10,000 fans.
The graphics are great and it's really fun, the heroes are a mix of ones ported from DotA and completely original ones, and it has a much better friends/matchmaking system and interface than WC3/DotA, plus it's being developed for Windows, OSX and Linux.

Sweet! DotA is the only way I can get all my friends and family in one place for more than a couple hours, haha. Possibly the best non-Vendetta game ever.

I like DOTA because I get to be pwned. seriously why am I such a bitch? so sorry, but I feel like I really have nothing in common with women, is that a bad thing? i want women, i think, but i can never have anything in common with them, i think thats why I talk to guys so good, because we are guys. But since I don't have any...em...woman parts, I can't relate to them. Should I enhance myself to become more like a woman? Or should I just forget women in general and go to other genders? No really noobs, I've been here for so long all I need is a simple opinion. I've given this forum so much so I expect a little something in return, okay?!

I've now met 2 people in HoN who also play Vendetta (not counting drazed and spidey - I introduced them to the game). Pretty surprising, considering HoN has 340,000 members.

Thanks. I just played a game, and it's pretty cool. I need to play more before deciding what I think of it relative to DotA. Also, I reported a graphics bug: playing on my iMac in OSX 10.4.11 with an ATI Radeon HD2600, all the units/buildings are invisible! I attack and get attacked by hovering weapons with health bars. The little archer dudes are literally floating bows and arrows with health bars. It's kind of funny, but makes the game very difficult to play. Add in the fact that I need to learn the items all over again and... I got crushed, haha. To be expected, I suppose.
