number 2 field corn
who likes number 2 field corn?

I'm partial to Silver Queen, which grows quite well here. I've annexed part of my elderly neighbor's backyard for this.

Is there a reason why it's No.2 and not No.1? Is the latter so much more expensive as to prohibit regular purchase?
Silver King.. its sweeter than SQ.
I don't grow any corn myself, but I do grow tomatos, broccoli, spinach, lettuce, beans, carrots, beets, pumpkins, peppers, cucumbers, and sunflowers (solely decorative). It's been so wet this year that the tomato plants hardly have any tomato's starting but the plants are huge, over 2 foot tall, some approaching 3 foot tall. Whole thing is grown from seed, im also going to be planting strawberries too. Oh yea, i also have blackberrys, rasberrys, currants, and one lone small apple tree that for some reason is loaded this year.
Wow, you've got a good bit of land to work with.
Cool wet weather is great for apples, though it seems a bit early for them to really be breaking out.
How's the stamped metal crop coming along?
