Due to economic troubles, I'm looking to sell a number of items locally to pay off bills.... even had to cancel a VO acct I'd been paying on for 2 years, though still hoping to return at some point once things get more stable, so it's not for sale.
Up for grabs is:
Yellow 1972 Kawasaki KZ-1100A, shaft-drive motorcycle, incl. aftermarket oil cooler, heated handgrips, sportster suspension, removeable locking hard-cover saddle bags. 80K miles, well cared for, 50-ft paint, no windscreen or front fairing.
Early '08 model Macbook 13", very lightly used and well cared for, includes Applecare, MS Office 2008, Red Speck protective shell, marware set, keyboard cover, Oakley padded carrying case and backpack. Will throw in an MX Revolution mouse if wanted.
Saitek X-52 stick and throttle set. Heavily used for only a short period (back when I started playing VO regularly), moderately worn, but still in full working condition.
Playstation 2
Logitech Force Feedback racing wheel,
1 standard controller, 1 wireless controller, NEW, only been used once.
GT3, GT4, Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 5, SOCOM, Deus Ex
Memory card with unlocks and save games if wanted
Ancient old notebook computer, collector's piece... Pentium III with true-color LCD, full keyboard with numpad, more ports and features than most modern laptops. No OS or compile your own. Been running DSL on it.
Possibly other things as I think of them.
Local pick-up only, no shipping.
Reply if wanting more info, or can email offers to veritas.fury gmail com

damn, its a shame you dont ship, cause the p3 laptop would come in handy from time to time, sure i can't convince you to ship it?
Cost of shipping it would be considerable... it weighs quite a lot. Not to mention packaging it safely for the trip, and the time expended to do it... no, I'm pretty sure not.
I would so go for the bike and MacBook if you lived in Europe (and if I had money to spare).
If I lived in Europe, I probably wouldn't be needing to sell them. ;)
^^ lol..
I know, because then you could have your government baby sit you, since you're obviously too lazy to actually... WORK.
Never was it mentioned that YOU would have to pay for the shipping.. Yet you DID state an aversion to work.. "Not to mention packaging it safely for the trip, and the time expended to do it"
^ Laziness.. pure and simple.

Perhaps he's working two jobs to make ends meet and can't spare the time to package and ship?
Eize, please note that there are many different states in Europe, each of which handles welfare differently. Not every country enables people to live without having to work, or at least not indefinitely.
Whistler: Actually only one full-time job right now, still spending most of the rest of my time looking for a second -- they're kinda hard to come by these days.
LNH is more than welcome to pay for S&H, I was simply insinuating it wasn't worth it. I don't have shipping supplies on hand, so that's more out of pocket... in the end I'm asking like $40 for that PC, but would be asking another $50 to ship it if he's much further than across town.
I actually qualify for federal housing aid in the U.S. already, like about 100 million other Americans, I just hate taking charity enough to not apply for it.
EDIT: HDD failure. Won't be available for reply until it's attended to... I've had such shit luck with these western digifails.

I was wondering if the shipping cost would be worth it to anyone, but I was ignorant of how much that laptop would go for and how much it would cost to ship.
I have a cousin in the twin cities area, I'll ask if he wants a bike, a MacBook, or a PS2.
Just asking: Is it a PS2 (fat) or a PStwo (slim)?
It's the fat one. I'm not sure if it's the moddable series or not.

Alas, my cousin has no money, either, to buy any of your reasonably-priced merchandise.

I'm an IT professional. I fix computers. mostly malware cleanup and hardware diagnostics.
Minneapolis is, in theory, the best place in the midwest for the field... problem is, the field isn't in the midwest, and I can't afford California.

The pay is higher in CA, but then again you can't turn around without running into an IT professional around here.
Dallas is IT heaven, I heard.
Anyway, I'll keep my eyes open, ear to teh ground, and nose in the air. Milwaukee doesn't have as much corporate stuff as MSP does, tho.

You must be incredibly flexible on the sauce, leebs.
Odd, see, this is why I got into truckin' when I did...
I have a degree in electronics, but couldn't find a decent-paying job around here that wanted it (My current employer wasn't hiring when I was first looking). So. I went and drove trucks.. Took me about 3 weeks of company-paid school before I started getting a livable paycheck, and pretty quickly I was earning 30-40k a year.. like, within the year..
Doesn't sound like a whole lot, but if you're living in the truck, there's no utility bills to speak of..
Truckin companies are -ALWAYS- hiring. especially in your area, it's a pretty big intersection, goods-wise..
might give that a look-see?
break19
edit: I could even give ya the names of a few companies that will train you, no experience needed..
edit #2: In fact, I may well wind up going back to truckin' - Depending on how well my current employer does..

That actually sounds a decent idea, and it wouldn't be the first time I'd considered it... as long as there are benefits involved I'd step to it, anyway.
