Well, I may have missed the birthday, but today's a good day too. Inspires me to poetry, it does.

I give my thanks,
to those that serve.
I do not forget their efforts.

For what they gave,
I now enjoy,
a quiet, simple life.

I can't be told,
to honor them,
by any great authority.

So hand on heart,
my head bowed down,
I do so willingly.

Thank you friend.
I wish you well.
My unknown but free brother.
