Same here. I still intend to go to Japan and not get funny looks (okay, not get any more funny looks than I already would) for tattoos...

If I did have one, it'd be my name in Morse, around my neck.

You could join the Yakuza, then nobody would dare to look at you funny. You would be prohibited from many public bathhouses though.

No tattoos for me as there's nothing I want to apply permanently or to express to the world. I don't even like bumperstickers.

The picture Kitano painted of the Yakuza was a rather bleak one, so no, thanks ;)
