C&C: Red Alert 3 Beta Opened
Anyone else in the Beta for Red Alert 3?
I believe the Beta is technically also being listed as public, but I would not know how to go about getting more information on it. I got mine through purchasing "C&C 3: Kane's Wrath".

I feel obliged to point out this.
i played it once, just aint had much gameing time recently
It loses it's luster after C&C: Generals.
It's not even the same company that made the first C&C.

generals wasent too good, partly cause the storyline lacked the movies, partly due to to max game speed being too damn slow, a few other minor details as well.
CNC3 however was much better, decent movies, good story line, great gameplay, albeit with a few minor flaws, but over all much better. still need time to play more of ra3, seems to me they recycled a bunch of unit voices from ra2, disappointing to say the least, but this may only be in the beta version

I agree, the C&C franchise isn't what it used to be back when the original and then Tiberium Wars came out, but it's still not a bad series when you consider some of the other materials out there.
Looking at C&C3 and then Kanes Wrath I think the original GDI vs NOD storyline is still intact well, it's the other stuff they're putting out like Generals (which I agree lacked the cinematics that help make the series appealing). I mean, looking at the cast for C&C 3 it looks like there's some strong hope for RA3, or even a C&C4 at some point.
And even if you want to point out the "Sex & War" recipe for these games you see it in all the Red Alert games, look at Red Alert 2 for instance, there was some very explicit implications of what you (ie: "Commander") would be doing with your Russian intelligence officer after the war...it's not really a new concept for EA and the C&C franchise.

Westwood.. not EA. *smack* It was in the FIRST RA as well..
WESTWOOD started this. EA just did what EA does best. buy out successful game companies, turn them to shit while making a little dough in the process..
