general system cooling problems

Yeah, nice to know, but knowing the amps is more important than how much it adds up to in watts. Which is why I interjected with Ohm's Law up there. Watts is simply how many amps to expect depending on the number of rails and what voltage can flow through each cable.

what kind of engineering do you do mostly?

I'll often have to make parts for machines with nothing but where the old one used to be for a guide and I almost always wing it, or at least I do it all in my head. Kinda like this guy only I ain't quite that good, but still, I think almost entirely visually. I couldn't read at all till near the end of 2nd grade, however a year earlier I ran an HO gauge model train off the tracks and it broke into tons of little pieces. A short while later, it was running along the track like nothing happened.
