Waste of resources. It's not hard to find out whether an object will blend by making a (virtual) structural analysis.

The actual point of the whole demonstration is to show that the blender they are using can blend almost anything. It's a actual promotion for the blender. By the way it costs roughly $400 USD.
Then they should be slapped on their respective faces twice and bring up less heterogeneous materials.

@tosh: What? It's just a overrated yuppie/elitist device devised by a marketing/monopoly company that likes to think 'different'. If you want less heterogeneous materials then how does Barbie dolls or tape measure sound? Yes, it is a real waste of money just to demonstrate but seeing a expensive mainstream device that's such the 'rave' being blended and then near the end of the blending it spontaneously emits this black cloud consuming all within the blender. That says something.

They did not do a crowbar; they were "interrupted" by a cell phone, I believe, and then blended everyone's cell phones instead. I doubt it could do a crowbar. My favorite was the light sticks.
I agree, the lightsticks were worthy. Lightsticks are ALWAYS worthy.

a crow bar smoothy is not a good source of iron.
I liked the lightsticks one a lot. That was a pretty good choice.
The iPhone ending was symbolic so I found it to be my favorite.
