Core 2 Duo slower than a Sempron!
So, anyway, whyfore does my computator lieth?
PS:
I suggest you travel to the far depths of the BIOS home land.
There you will find the CPU of the computer.
You must goes through a series of gauntlets to claim what you seek.
If you succeed, you will have the awesome power of the Duo.
But if you fail, may the Intel have mercy on your soul.

Or, like, pay attention to the message. Your power management software is clocking down your CPU because you're on battery power. Pretty much every mobile CPU does this. Either plug in the computer, or install the power management guified software and change its settings.
This is why I use desktops and spurn laptops.
Yea, you've engaged the ACPI for the laptop. You really need to plug in for gaming anyway, since it draws so much power your battery will more than likely be dead before you're ready to quit.
Yeah, I have tried that. WHile the issue stopping a game was fixed, I still wonder why it happened at all.... and yes, I was plugged in. 95% of the time, my laptop is.
I'd blame Vista....
Runs faster than on Vista too :D (Yes, I bought this copy, so legal issues are.... vague in this area, since it's not a hack).
Your CPU is definitely being clocked down. There are two places to check: One is any power management software from the laptop manufacturer, the other is the BIOS. Even though your laptop is plugged in, the power management software (or the BIOS settings that it is technically controlling) may be set to run at reduced speed at all times, even when plugged in, since it reduces power consumption and heat output. If you don't have the software installed, check the ASUS website for it.
Ya, the voltage is just a hair above the recommended minimum for 2 Duo, Erik M.
Then I'd blame FL :o
