So, will it be LeberWinVistaStarter, LeberWinVistaHomeBasic, LeberWinVistaHomePremium, LeberWinVistaBusiness, LeberWinVistaEnterprise or LeberWinVistaUltimate?
The last one has a nice evil villain ring to it ;p

actually, setting up mac os x to share a samba folder is a breeze. ftp also is a snap but a tad less useful. everything is built in, on top of it.
OK. I... did it.
I bought it. I'm not putting it back on hold.
/me looks for other signs of the Apocalypse...
But before I buy WinXP, I will get the thing up and running. Maybe I'll install ubuntu first... Hrm....

LMAO. I'll install that first thing, moldy...
I thought you would :D
Finally set it up nicely. That's a prototype from the vaults of MS. I was meant for XP. Look familiar?

No, that doesn't look too familiar. (Should it?)
To those who used/saw Vista so far, it's practically the same theme. Taking out the Aero Window Manager, of course. Oh, but the wallpaper is my own :) (That I found I mean, I didn't create that).
Hey Leebs... any software worth using in Windows, you can get for free. If you're not finding it, you're just not looking hard enough.

I'm not averse to paying for software, Cunjo. It's all good. I'll happily upgrade my versions of Adobe creative suite and m$ office, and then pick up a few other things as needed.
I'll need to go find all the driver software for my saitek joysticks and stuff again... hm.

Adobe, sure. But MS Office? I have OpenOffice now and it's just as good.
it sucks for doing equations. open office that is. ms office rocks my socks when im doing equations.
hmm i wonder if theres a way to make open office do equations as good as office does.

I actually give 2 shits about equations, but the upgrade path is seriously cheap, like $150 for me for legit, real Office 2007. So I'll work towards it.
Baby steps... baby steps...

Okay, you know things are odd when your motherboard's box says this:
"The AW9D-MAX embraces bushido, "The way of the warrior" to supplicate your desires..."
Didn't know that a mobo could embrace bushido...

You work in the advertising industry, right? >_>
Just as a side note, if you're doing anything that requires equations, then you really ought to be using a TeX variant. Everything else just... pales in comparison.
Three cheers for Don Knuth?

Yes!
Hell, like I said I've never had to worry about posting or writing equations since college. However, even *I*, a lowly graphic designer, have heard of TeX, and its outstanding support of mathematical formulas & equations and stuff.
Oh, and Moldy: Yeah, I do lots of advertising, but If I had Abit for a client, I seriously would re-work their entire package design. At least for their sales here in the U.S. The whole manual, the packaging, everything makes it seem like once you install the motherboard you'll be transformed into a 17th-century Tokugawa-era dynasty warrior, and there's a lot of copy that reads like the line I posted above. It's... silly.

So LeberPC :) is it up and running yet?
Well, Leber, at least you know the types of people who would advertise like that ;)
