But then, is there a market for pies on other worlds, and if so, why aren't we exploiting it?

Because rocket science has proven the pie to fuel ratio is not good enough to ship to other worlds. Unless we can make the pies the fuel as well. And then comes the problem of making fuel pie that tastes good or decent, and not like fuel. A way so energy is drawn from the sweet sweet sucrose and not burn the pie up would increase profits 1,000 fold!
