Explain, o great ones, the meaning of "Ninny" to an unbeliever. I seek enlightenment of the soul from my confusion. To what dost this most unseemly word refer?

oh my, good times

it was all so long ago, maybe a couple months. Bojan and who? me? were locked in a battle. it was the battle of the ninny. If i recall correctly, it all orriginated when yoda called Bojan a ninny excessively, and then who? me? caught on to it and it was war!

calls of ninny passed between the two like gunfire off of Breed's hill. Then who? me? had an idea.

to the forums he went!
Bojan got called out "ninny!" was the rallying cry. This went back and forth for some time, say 5 or 6 posts. Then sarahanne locked the thread due to namecalling.

So what did we do? we started a new one!
Ninny!

Ninny!

I dont remember if at this point other people got involved, but this thread was locked shortly too.

we started one more, and it was locked almost immediatly.

The bug was spreading to other threads, and were degenerating into namecalling, so got locked.

Eventually placing "NINNY!!!!" at the end of your thread just became a way of saying that you thought the discussion was over and that the thread should be locked.

the end

ninny

the term ninny-locking was devised by yours truely (woo! self gratification).

sarahane didn't know at the time that we ended up playing with her and when she asked, we revealed we were using ninny just to lock threads. she thought it was kind of funny because in the early ninny posts, she had come to realize that the "ninny" name calling was, after all, quite benign.

latelly, though, ninny-locking hasn't come in easilly and we have to resort to harsher measure...
