Read the reports in Maximum PC. Apparently Intel has an answer to AMD's FX series. I got the feeling that pretty soon Apple will eventually be a software company if they can get their drivers right for Intel proc's.

Unlikely. The Apple brand does not only encompass software development, but providing an entire solution, complete with box. Nothing has shown Apple intends to change that. While that may be not as safe (after all, Apple hid the Pentium parallel development pretty well), I don't think they want to make most of their customers go away.

Dont worry....AMD FTW they will come back and bite Intel straight up the arse once again ;)
