You know, when I was a kid a buddy of mine and I thought it would be fun to joust. So, we got some metal trashcan lids (get the ones with the solid handles. The hinged ones are hard to grip and bust your knuckles.) We got some broom handles.

Then we got on our bikes and backed off to about fifty yards...

Looking back, I think that was amazingly stupid. I'm lucky that he hit a pothole and flipped his bike before we got close enough to impale one another.

However, by comparison, that was Ph.D material compared to dousing yourself with alcohol and setting your dumb ass on fire. What the hell did he think was going to happen?
