Happy 4th of July! (Fourth, not Forth, that's a programming language.)

Brats & Beer! Whooo! Oh and weeding the flowerbeds! Yay!

"and weeding the flowerbeds! Yay!"

Oh man! I wanna come to Leber's house for the 4th! Plus there'd probably be enough tequila for Smittens, even if it required drinking Leber's puke. (But its not that disgusting. I'd use a filter first!)

w00t!!! It's the 4th!

Everyone bought their illegal fireworks, right?

Yep, cookout with beer-boiled brats and more beer for drinking and of course what's left of the tequila. Oh and some kind of vegetable, and fries probably. And the wife got sauerkraut... GAH. Hate the stuff.

No fireworks for me - reckless 5-year old + curious 1-year old + fireworks = trip to emergency room. It'll be sparklers and the county fireworks for me thankyouverymuch.

lol, it sounded and looked like my whole neighborhood was a 16th century (I think it was...?) war zone! With all the fireworks going off (apparently, big boomers are not illegal around here) and all the resulting smoke looked like there were some old-school black-power cannons being shot off!

Happy Fourth of July! :D

We still have artillery going off here (a little after 11pm), and fireworks are illegal. Ah well - I think the police are busy with the drunks, so I can't complain.

I used to despise sauerkraut until I was clued in that you are supposed to rinse it off with warm water to get rid of all that brine. I still don't crave it, but I'll eat it if it manages to appear on my plate.

Whistler, but Sauerkraut is rich in Vitamin C (if it's raw) and lactic acid (raw and cooked)! Both are good for you... In addition, it accelerates the digestive process.

It's especially good with potatoes boiled in their jacket and ham, sausage and/or bacon.

I just can't stand the taste of sauerkraut.

Anyway, yeah 4th was awesome! Hit the sack at midnight, to the sound of distant battle...

And no one blew off any fingers or lost an eye, so all in all a decent independence day - PLUS I have leftover Brats for lunch today... kickass.
