I like the psuedo-history attached to the picture. I'd like to see them explain how 32 keys get played out on 7 cats? At minumum there should be 8 cats to make an octave.

Nonlinearity of the vocal chords, whistler. the different keys deliver pokes in different sharpness and force.

You'd have to change the cats very often, though...
