question about firefox
so I've had it for probably a year now, much better than IE, etc. the only problem I have with it is that when it updates to a new version, it makes me pick a profile and it won't let me pick the same one becaue it's already in use. Does anyone know how to change profiles once one's already selected? It changes bookmarks and all of my settings.
[edit] actually, I figured out I only need to find the profile manager... but I can't seem to. If anyone could direct me to it, it would be greatly appreciated.
[edit2] well, I opened the profile manager, but now it says one profile is already in use and won't let me open it. help?
[FINAL EDIT]
why don't I just rephrase everything from above:
I updated to a new version today and it made me select a new profile because one was already in use. What would I have to do to use my default profile? I created a new one a few months ago because the same thing happened, so I'm using it now but it's very annoying and has about half of my bookmarks. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd enjoy them.

you either have a copy of firefox still open, in which case it wont open another copy with the same profile, or the update went a little screwy.. reboot, and re-open firefox.
ahh, problem solved, I closed it in task manager and it let me re-open the default profile. yay!
you peeps beat me to it... guess that's what I get for spending so long before getting to this post.
It's also handy to keep a backup of your bookmarks if you ever need to cold-reinstall. Just export them before updating and you won't need to worry about something going wrong.
