Holy @#$%, those are pretty. How'd you make starfield1 and planet1?
Would take a while to explain, but a few simple techniques I used gave some very good results,
Btw Thanks :)
Btw Thanks :)
http://deviantart.com <-- good place for critiques... just sign up, upload, and beg for some attention on the overpopulated forums.
I'm there under the same name, though I really don't fish for critiques anymore... I don't have the means to shoot more photos, and my digital art skills aren't worth wasting time on.

I know what you mean, deviant art is to crowded.
The Exodus looks like Fett's Slave I. While that is not a bad thing as such, it's the first thing that came to my mind when I looked at it. Other than that, very nice concept.
The sea/space horse is interesting... imagine a band of space nomads, would provide material for very interesting missions/storylines. Also, very nicely drawn.
The planets ad stars... very good artwork. Especially the planet in smoke. An allusion to comets?

Could the planet be the comet? why yes it may just be. :)
i like the planet1 and starfield1
the planetinacloud looks kinda funky for some reason i cant quite put my finger on,

I see the problem. on the right side in the thick of the clouds it looks like your seeing through the planet to the stars, ill have to fix that lol
Thanks
Chikira
Thanks
Chikira
yeah, and also the clouds kinda take away from the 3d look of the planet, dunno if thats a problem or not, maybe make the clouds not as thick
IT might be that I need to do some rim lighting on the clouds and edge of the planet and finish the background up.
Chikira, I know this will seem like a pedantic question, but can you give us an idea of how old you are? It's hard to give constructive artistic criticism without a frame of reference.
15 Lebermac.
Well, see, that changes everything. Being 20 years older than you, I can look at those ship & seahorse drawings and say... "Hey, that's the kind of stuff I used to do when I was 15 and bored to tears in English class!" I hope that means it's good.
What is your technique for the planets? Do you use an actual 3D program, or do you use something else, like the spherize command in Photoshop?
And I can tell you like that Trajan font. (You used it in the samples for the Vendetta website everywhere!) That's OK 'cause it's a kickass font.

Lol, I made a round selectionon photoshop and built it up from scratch, no shperizing necessary if you know the basics of perspective. Of course I have alot more stuff I could post but that would give away things about the project to soon
I should be posting a realistic shoe done for my art class soon.

Heres the dumb shoe I was talking about.

Did you alter the proportions of that shoe sketch? It looks like it is a little too long...
If you do a realistic drawing/painting, you might want to use 'boundary boxes' that roughly contain the object, which you draw at the very beginning and erase later. You won't be needing them after a while anyway, but I found that they help.
Since I'm younger than LeberMac, I might not have as much authority, but I do drawings and design sketches in my spare time as well, most of which won't ever 'go live'. That doesn't mean they're for nought, since whenever I do a design, I invest time and effort to
a) (hopefully) solve a problem and
b) further my drawing skills.

Lol I did use a box and believe it or not thats what the shoe looks like.
Hmm... then maybe I got it all wrong. I'm sorry for trying to be smart...
Lol nah I tought the same thing when I looked at it, the person wearing it must have had big toes or something odd about their foot.
