Hordes of bots in B8. Little Aputech Observers are twitchy ;)

LOL An observer swarm? Hehe.

They're beautiful to watch in a big bunch. They school like fish.

In the absence of hive activity, I try to combine bots in interesting combinations. I found last night's horde to be rather fierce.

They were a bit fierce (weren't just observers)... but I love the new parameters... it's one thing to have one, or two, or three bots "in-your-face"... it is something else entirely to have a swarm on you... We cleared the sector twice, I think... and it was about the most fun botting I have had in a long time. I found that simply standing ground, and fighting toe-to-toe right in the middle of them was the best way to actually stay alive... at one point I tried to reposition "outside" the swarm... and well, that lasted about five seconds.

Like I said... it was *great* fun... and I appreciate you doing that for us.

OMG. Lagarino. It's be like watching a comic book.
(Here's LeberMac in frame 1, zooming toward the 30 capships, here is frame 2 where all the capships have coalesced into a ball of locked wings and turrets, vainly trying to maneuver, frame 3 Lebermac goes <poof> due to the coordinated assault of 40 capship beams...)

You do realize that a swarm of capships would result in complete framerate failure for most players?

It'd be funny to see them all wingbug themselves to death on each other.

I think a1k0n would personally fly to CA to hunt me down and kill me if I did that.

I still think that the "special weapon" that the alphas & betas get should be the "Garbage Truck Gun", very similar to the "forklift" gun in the original EV:Override (Or was it Nova I forget)

God... Anyone ever play the Empire EV plug? The final mission (if you were on the Weave side) was nearly impossible, even *with* a drastically upgraded forklift (I made it so it killed anything short of a Dreadnaught in one hit and it *still* took three hours to beat every wave of defense cruisers, and I had set the fire rate and acceleration of the things to maximum).
